The 4 new units will be unveiled by the retailer until the end of September in the following cities Vaslui, Buzau, Braila and Tulcea, by investing a million Euro in the rearranging of the areas.
Immobiliare Grande Distribuzione holds a total of 15 shopping center's on the Romanian market, and this year in the same range has entered the supermarket operator Carrefour, who will be opening in august the first two units in partnership with the Italian operator.
IGD announced it's intention to attract more international grocery shop retailers in the Winmarkt shopping center's.
MiniMax went this year especially in rented locations, after last year's expansion strategy was based upon the locations in it's property.
A MiniMax store has a medium sale surface of 1.100 square meters and 20 employees, and a part of Winmarkt centers units will have smaller dimensions, of 700-800 square meters.
At the time, MiniMax holds 22 stores, and last year the retailer had sales of approximately 50 million euros.
The MiniMax stockholders,among which the are Reiner Exel and Austrian business people Christian Rimpf and Klaus Riederer-owners of the real-estate developer Real 4 You - has at the time 50 plots of land, that can insure the store range development on average term.
Rainer Exel, the general director of MiniMax, said that at the beginning of the year the range was still looking for new locations to expand on,the long term target being 100 units.
"Before the end of September of the current year MiniMax will get up to 30 locations at the national level, by signing others collaborations similar to Winmarkt", said the MiniMax representatives.
The biggest players on the grocery shop's discount retail segment at the time are Penny Market, Plus and Profi.
