Minimax will be opening a store in the basement of the Winmarkt Dacia in Buzau and Winmarkt Dunarea from Braila shopping center, at the semi-basement of the Winmarkt Central from Vaslui, and at the Winmarkt Diana shopping center's ground floor from Tulcea. After this agreement, MiniMax is extending,following to reach,trough other similar agreements,a number of 30 stores at national level before the end of September this year.
"Minimax Discount is in a development stage, and the position of the new stores makes easier reaching our objectives faster. Thus we have guaranteed 4 of the 15 planned new units for the second semester of the year,with capital investments of 250.000 euros for each of the rearrangements", declared Rainer Exel, general director and trading range stockholder.
The 4 MiniMax units will occupy a surface of 840 sq m in Vaslui, 1.000 mp in Buzau, 900 mp in Braila and 740 mp in Tulcea. All of the four stores will be unveiled before the end of September,the first unveiling taking part in Vaslui on the 23 July.
"Our purpose is to finish the first stage of applying our strategy by opening other supermarkets until the end of this year, with the help of our partners which already have signed rental contracts and also some other international operators"said Sergiu Stapler, general manager of Winmarkt.
Winmarkt, the net of 15 shopping centers placed in 13 cities in Romania has been bought last spring by the Italian company Immobiliare Grande Distribuzione (IGD) in a 182,5 million euros deal.
