In 2005 Winmarkt started wide-spreading project at Galati, investing approximately 4 million Euro in the rearrangement and understructure of the existing building of the Modern store,and the construction of a new body element.

Modern Grand Center description

Trough the binding of the two body elements,at the level of every floor,a shopping center of great proportions has been formed in it's interior being introduced a divers blend of customers in the interest to bring in the same place products that can satisfy a great number of shoppers.

Modern Grand is placed in the center of Galati city, on Domneasca Street, on the main thoroughfare of the city, on the longest street with linden trees in Europe. Acces can be make both by car(the shopping center is flanked by 2 parking lots),and by common means of transportation (buss)

It is situated 6 minutes from the train station , 2 minutes from the town hall and 2 minutes from the Galati hotel, in an area dedicated to business and trading, in which there is found the "Dunarea" Business Center, the residences of 8 banks and the residence of CEC Central Agency Galati Branch.
