WINMARKT ACHIEVES ISO 37001 ANTI-BRIBERY CERTIFICATION

Winmarkt Group, the Romanian subsidiary of the Italian group Immobiliare Grande Distribuzione (IGD), which owns and manages 15 properties, in 13 cities across the country, is proud to announce that is among  the first companies from Romania globally certified under ISO 37001:2016, international standard for anti-bribery management systems. 

ISO37001 certification (The International Organization for Standardization 37001 – Anti-bribery management systems) was obtained after an extensive assurance audit conducted by an independent certification body. ISO 37001 requires implementing a system of management control which applies anti-bribery monitoring and prevention measures into the company’s activities.

This certification has a number of benefits from implementing bribe prevention, detection and resolution controls, to preventing conflicts of interest, as well as promoting an ethical business culture.

Company’s anti-bribery policy sets out standards of conduct designed to minimize the risk of bribery in the activity of hired personnel, in relations with business partners or in relations with government entities.”

 

Anca Barbulescu, Tax&Control Manager of Winmarkt, becomes the person designated to oversee anti-bribery policies, train staff, make risk assessments of the opportunity to take and give bribe, and oversee the implementation of a series of financial/commercial and control measures, the investigation and reporting procedures for conducting “due diligence” regarding stakeholders or organization’s projects:

The company has proposed a referral mechanism on the company’s web site, both at the staff’s and clients’ disposal and also for the stakeholders, all who can announce possible breaches or suspicions of violations of the anti-bribery provisions, while guaranteeing the confidentiality of the information received. Thus, through this existing alert procedure, each employee, partner, collaborator, customer, service provider may refer any direct or indirect request to obtain payments, goods, travel, personal assistance or any other benefits to a person or his/her relatives or another beneficiary, in connection with the performance of a person’s tasks.”
